Editorial Policy

How DailyChalisa approaches sacred texts, transliteration, meanings and corrections.

Respect for traditions

Hindu devotional texts can have regional, linguistic and lineage-based variations. We aim to present established devotional versions respectfully and avoid treating one variation as the only valid tradition.

Sources and review

Content should be checked against reliable published or traditional sources before it is marked as reviewed. Material still being checked may carry an editorial or review-needed status and should not be presented as authoritative.

Transliteration and meanings

English-script prayer text is transliteration intended to help readers follow the original prayer. Meanings are concise devotional explanations and may not be word-for-word translations unless explicitly stated.

Claims and guidance

We avoid guarantees about spiritual, medical, financial or other outcomes. Descriptions of customary practice are presented as tradition-aware guidance, and practices may differ between communities.
